Dealing with Loss

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain.
Emily Dickinson

I found out today that my friend Rocky Miles passed away in Toronto, Canada. I feel the loss deeply for my dear friend.

I will learn to live before I die”

Life is something we take for granted and we forget this journey is not forever. We should live each day as our last. We don’t know if tomorrow will really come. We only have this moment. Life is to be enjoyed and not endured, if Monday morning’s don’t make you feel alive then only you can change this. I know Rocky would. We only have today to make tomorrow better.
My emotions around the loss of my friend Rocky, is heart breaking and sadness, but I know Rocky wouldn't want us remembering how he die and the people he left behind. Rocky was one of a kind, and a gift to us all. I believe he would have wanted us to give other inspiration from the lessons learnt from his life.

Here are some tips to help you with your grieving process.  In an ideal world, we would each have a special place for prayer: a quiet sanctuary where, as soon as we enter it, everyday stresses melt away and we are instantly in the presence of god.

Find a peaceful spot in a quiet room, add picture of Rocky to your landscape. Kneel on the floor and relax; begin taking in deep breaths of air deep into your lungs, and begin to relax your body and mind. Feel your memories with his love, kindness, compassion, and love for adventure. As you begin to focus on the these emotions, feel them deeper in your body and soul. Allow the emotions to bring a smile to your face, attach memories to Rocky to the emotion. And just bathe in the overwhelming sensation of the emotion. Now just hold, feel him, and remember his life.

Death is the opening of a more subtle life.
In the flower, it sets free the perfume;
In the chrysalis, the butterfly;
In man; the soul.

Our lives improve only when we take chances-

we can take is to be honest with ourselves.
